Graham, Washington is a small community located approximately 20 miles southeast of Tacoma and 30 miles from the base of Mount Rainier. It is comprised of a small, but effective business area and a large bedroom community that serves the Olympia, Tacoma and Seattle work regions. The members of Graham Sunrise Lions, now 34 members strong and growing, are a group of volunteer citizens, from a wide range of professions, trades, and ages, united in an effort to help others who are less fortunate than ourselves.

Our club sponsors several fundraising events throughout the year to help sustain service projects within the Graham area. Some of the service projects we support include a scholarship to Bethel High School graduating seniors, School Essay contests, children Peace Poster Contests, senior yard clean up, building wheelchair ramps, and providing full meals for the needy during the Thanksgiving & Christmas Holiday season. A new service project this year is the sponsoring of a needy family in the Graham area for the entire year, providing school supplies, birthday and Christmas gifts, as well as other services as needed.

Graham Sunrise Lions Club also helps sponsor the Lions Journey for Diabetes. Funds raised at this annual event are used to help subsidize children to Camp Leo, a camp for children with Juvenal Diabetes.

Meetings are the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM and are held at Silver Creek Retirement Center, 17607 91st Ave. E. (South side of 176th E, 1/2 mile west of Fred Meyer).
